One of the most compelling pictures of Christ is found in Revelation 3:20.
In this verse, Jesus says, “I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.” This was part of the Lord’s message given through the apostle John to the church at Laodicea. They had grown lukewarm and complacent in their relationship with Him. Revelation 3:20 is a beautiful illustration of Christ’s love and the powerful effect it can have when people welcome Him into their lives.
