The Christ said:

…the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. (John 14:10 KJV) and further:

…the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me. (John 14:24 KJV)

(The Christ never asked to be worshipped… in fact, He told us to consider only the Father.)

God told Samuel:
